Counseling Services

Our professionally trained and licensed clinicians provide treatment for individuals 13 years of age and up with mental health conditions. Our holistic, empathic approach enables the client to take advantage of quality therapeutic services.

Counseling services are covered by most health insurances including Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurances. Co-pay/Co-insurance required at time of service, dependent on your agreement with your insurance carrier.

Individual Therapy

Take time to focus on mental well-being and personal growth. Work jointly with your therapist to develop and achieve goals for an improved quality of life.

Couples and Family Therapy

Heal wounds, learn better communication skills and improve the overall functioning of your relationship with your significant other and/or your family system.

Group Therapy

Guided by a licensed professional therapist, group therapy uses the “power of the room”, and all members to advance the movement toward the identified goal.

Crisis Intervention

Gain prompt, short-term care aimed to assist in a crisis situation to restore equilibrium to your overall functioning and to minimize the potential of long-term effects.

Medication Treatment

Our highly trained prescribers help individuals age 13 and up, in need of the support of medication to restore balance to their lives.

Case Management

Our clinicians will assist you in a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination and evaluation. They will also provide advocacy, resources and linkage to other services to meet your needs and improve your outcome.

Living without Violence

A 14-week group counseling and education program for men who choose to prevent or end harmful behavior that occurs in close relationships.

What You Can Expect

Your journey begins with a call, or a visit to one of our facilities where our front office staff will ask you a few questions which will assist your therapist to begin the process when you meet.

During your first one to three visits, your therapist will assess your situation; meaning they will try to get a picture of what might be causing you distress. It may seem like a lot of questions, but this will help your therapist design your treatment. During this time, you and your therapist will also work together to start to develop your goals for treatment.

What if you don’t feel your therapist is a good fit? No problem! We can always match you with another therapist (although selection may be limited depending on your health insurance). Don’t hesitate to ask for a transfer—a therapeutic alliance with your counselor has been proven to lead to better outcomes. Just remember, counseling isn’t always comfortable. Your therapist may challenge you at times. Don’t mistake this as a bad therapeutic match. If your counselor never challenges you, they may be enabling you to stay the same, and you are here to make a change!

The length of time you spend in treatment, as well as how often you come to treatment, depends on a number of factors. Typically, as you improve, the less frequent treatment will be. The more skills you learn and the healthier you become, the less you will need your therapist. This is the ultimate goal!
